- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a large skillet, heat marinara sauce over medium heat.
- Add the cooked meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top, cover, and let it melt.
- Serve warm with pasta or on a sub for meatball sandwiches.
Notes
- Feel free to add Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
- These meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Can be frozen for up to 3 months, just thaw before reheating.
