Description

A delicious seafood pie made with cheddar bay biscuit topping, filled with shrimp, crab, and a creamy filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 package cheddar bay biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the shrimp until pink.
  3. Add the crab meat and 1/4 cup of the heavy cream. Stir in the garlic powder and Old Bay seasoning. Remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining heavy cream with the cheddar cheese and green onions.
  5. Combine the seafood mixture with the cheese mixture and transfer to a pie dish.
  6. Prepare the cheddar bay biscuit mix according to the package instructions, adding milk as directed.
  7. Dollop and spread the biscuit mixture over the seafood filling.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some lemon juice or zest to the seafood mixture.
  • Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
