- 1 prime rib roast
- 2 tablespoons coarse cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the cracked black pepper, salt, butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until the desired doneness is reached.
- Remove from oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Always let the roast rest before slicing to retain juices.
- For even more flavor, prepare the rub a day in advance and let it marinate in the fridge.
