Description

A succulent and flavorful prime rib roast, perfectly seasoned with a cracked pepper crust and butter for an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 prime rib roast
  • 2 tablespoons coarse cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the cracked black pepper, salt, butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan and insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until the desired doneness is reached.
  6. Remove from oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Always let the roast rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • For even more flavor, prepare the rub a day in advance and let it marinate in the fridge.
