Description
A savory dish featuring tender liver marinated in bourbon, served with sautéed onions.
Ingredients

- 1 pound liver (beef or chicken)
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 2 onions, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 1 hour.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat and add the onions. Sauté until they are golden brown.
- Remove the onions and set aside. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter.
- Remove the liver from the bourbon, season with salt and pepper, and cook in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Return the onions to the skillet and combine with the liver. Cook for an additional minute.
- Serve warm and enjoy.

- For best results, use fresh liver.
- Adjust the bourbon amount according to your preference.
- Pair with a side of mashed potatoes or greens.
