Ingredients

- 1 pound beef liver
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 1 hour.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized.
- Add garlic and thyme, then mix well.
- Remove the liver from the bourbon and pat dry.
- Season the liver with salt and pepper, then add to the pan.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Serve hot with the sautéed onions.
