Description

A delicious and savory dish featuring liver soaked in bourbon and sautéed with onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef liver
  • 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized.
  4. Add garlic and thyme, then mix well.
  5. Remove the liver from the bourbon and pat dry.
  6. Season the liver with salt and pepper, then add to the pan.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  8. Serve hot with the sautéed onions.
