- 1 pound liver (beef or chicken)
- 1 cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and caramelized.
- Remove the onions and set them aside.
- In the same skillet, add the liver and cook until browned on the outside and slightly pink inside.
- Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for a few minutes.
- Return the onions to the skillet and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot with your choice of side.
