Description

A rich and flavorful dish featuring tender liver soaked in bourbon and sautéed onions, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound liver (beef or chicken)
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced onions and sauté until soft and caramelized.
  4. Remove the onions and set them aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the liver and cook until browned on the outside and slightly pink inside.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Return the onions to the skillet and mix well.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot with your choice of side.
