- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
Instructions
- Soak the liver in bourbon for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Remove onions from skillet and set aside.
- Coat the liver slices in flour, then place in the skillet.
- Cook the liver for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned but still tender.
- Return the onions to the skillet, mix with the liver, and cook for an additional minute.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
