Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef bones
- 1 pound chicken bones
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 10 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roast bones in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Transfer roasted bones to a large pot.
- Add apple cider vinegar, vegetables, and water to the pot.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Simmer for at least 12 hours, skimming foam as needed.
- Strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve.
- Let the broth cool and store it in cups.

- Bone broth can be refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for longer storage.
