Description

A deliciously seasoned blackened ribeye topped with melted brie cheese for a decadent twist on a classic steak dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 4 ounces brie cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the skillet over high heat.
  2. Rub ribeye steaks with olive oil and coat with blackening seasoning.
  3. Once the skillet is hot, add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked to desired doneness.
  4. Add butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan, basting the steaks.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, top each steak with slices of brie cheese, allowing it to melt.
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

  • Let the steaks rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
