- 2 ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
- 4 ounces brie cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the skillet over high heat.
- Rub ribeye steaks with olive oil and coat with blackening seasoning.
- Once the skillet is hot, add the steaks and sear for 4-5 minutes per side, until blackened and cooked to desired doneness.
- Add butter, garlic, and thyme to the pan, basting the steaks.
- In the last minute of cooking, top each steak with slices of brie cheese, allowing it to melt.
- Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Let the steaks rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to retain juices.
- Adjust blackening seasoning according to personal spice preference.
