Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- In a bowl, mix the black pepper, kosher salt, minced garlic, and softened butter to create the black butter.
- Rub the black butter mixture all over the prime rib roast.
- Place the roast in the smoker and cook until it reaches desired doneness, about 4-5 hours.
- Remove the roast from the smoker and let it rest before slicing.
