Description

A delicious and savory quesadilla filled with flavorful birria, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded birria meat
  • 1 cup Oaxaca cheese, shredded
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup birria consommé
  • 2 tablespoons oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread some birria meat and shredded cheese on one half of each tortilla.
  3. Fold the tortilla over to form a half-moon shape.
  4. Brush the skillet with oil and place the quesadilla in it.
  5. Cook until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve with birria consommé for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add onions and cilantro inside the quesadilla.
  • These can be made ahead of time and reheated.
