Ingredients

- 1 pound beef tenderloin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the beef until browned on all sides.
- Remove beef and let it cool.
- Add mushrooms, garlic, and thyme to the skillet, cooking until the mushrooms are tender.
- Roll out the puff pastry, then cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture on each square, followed by a piece of beef.
- Wrap the pastry around the beef and secure with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve with a dipping sauce for added flavor.
- Can be made ahead of time and reheated.
