- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound beef, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups egg noodles
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Stir in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a bowl, mix the sour cream, flour, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Reduce heat and stir the sour cream mixture into the skillet until well combined.
- Cook until the sauce thickens, seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and serve topped with the stroganoff.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, increase the flour.
- Try adding fresh herbs for additional flavor.
