- 1 beef heart
- 6 cups beef broth
- 2 cans hominy
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 jalapeños, diced
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- salt to taste
- 2 limes, cut into wedges
- 2 radishes, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Clean and trim the beef heart, cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large pot, combine the beef heart and beef broth. Bring to a boil.
- Add the onion, garlic, and jalapeños to the pot.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef heart is tender.
- Stir in the hominy, oregano, cumin, and salt. Simmer for another 30 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with lime wedges and sliced radishes.
Notes
- Make sure to clean the beef heart thoroughly.
- You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or fewer jalapeños.
- This dish can be prepared a day in advance and reheated for better flavor.
