Description

A delicious recipe for tender and flavorful burnt ends using beef deckle (point) cut.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds beef deckle (point) brisket
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Trim the beef deckle and season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place the brisket in the smoker and smoke for about 6-8 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C).
  4. Remove the brisket and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Cut the brisket into small cubes and place them in a bowl.
  6. Add BBQ sauce to the cubes and mix well.
  7. Return the sauced burnt ends to the smoker and cook for another hour.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can wrap the brisket in butcher paper during smoking.
  • Make sure to let the meat rest to retain moisture.
