- 2 cups basil-infused lard
- 2 pounds veal, cut into chunks
- 1 cup ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Heat the basil-infused lard in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the veal chunks and sear until browned on all sides.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes and minced garlic, cooking until tomatoes soften.
- Season with salt and pepper, then cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot with a garnish of fresh basil.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, allow the lard to infuse for longer prior to use.
