Description

This Authentic Bangladeshi-American Slow Cooker Beef Chuck Roast Recipe combines rich flavors and tender meat for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 4 potatoes, quartered
  • 2 carrots, sliced


Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the beef chuck roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Transfer the roast to the slow cooker.
  4. Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, salt, black pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, beef broth, soy sauce, green chilies, potatoes, and carrots on top of the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Shred the beef and mix with the vegetables before serving.
