Description

Deliciously wrapped asparagus spears with prosciutto and tallow for a savory appetizer or side dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 1/2 cup beef tallow
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of prosciutto.
  3. Melt the tallow in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Dip each wrapped asparagus into the melted tallow, ensuring it’s coated.
  5. Arrange the wrapped asparagus on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use thinly sliced prosciutto.
  • Experiment with different herbs for added flavor.
